Congratulations to the Essex Men’s 075 team who defeated Surrey. (drew 2-2 on rubbers and won 5 sets to 4 on count back) in the finals of the Seniors Inter County Championships in December.
Representing Essex were from left to right: Graham Murray, Bob Hammond, Terry Stevens (Captain), John Throp and Hussain Shahid. In addition to those in the final, who also represented Essex in some of the matches were: David Tomlinson, Michael Everitt and Peter Dulwich. Well done to all those who have contributed in any way.
Congratulations must also go to our Mens O50’s team of Richard Stephens (Captain), Simon Chesher, Chris Harris, Peter Mott and John Caddies who reached the National Finals but unfortunately lost out to Surrey in the final 2-3.
Congratulations also to our Ladies Over 60’s team of Pat Wire (Captain), Jenny Courtney, Libby Eden, Julia Iwachiw, Christine Jolly and Chris Pennock who also reached the National Finals and lost out to Surrey 2-3 in another nail biting finish.
